IN A BIG WAY
IN A BIG WAY
In 2024, the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid hosted the “Ars Gratia Artis. Madrid” exhibition, an event that united contemporary art with the tradition of one of the most iconic spaces in Spain.
With a capacity of 23,798 spectators, Las Ventas is the largest bullring in the country and the third-largest in the world, surpassed only by those in Mexico and Valencia (Venezuela). However, today, this colossus is not only the temple of bullfighting but also a prestigious cultural venue, hosting high-caliber exhibitions and events.
The exhibition was attended by great figures of bullfighting, such as Ortega Cano and Miguel Abellán, managing director of the Center for Bullfighting Affairs of the Community of Madrid. This project was made possible thanks to the support of the Community of Madrid and the Center for Bullfighting Affairs, who backed the initiative, integrating art into a unique event that captivated all attendees.
