In December 2017, I had the honor of presenting my work “La Piedad” to His Holiness Pope Francis at the Domus Sanctae Marthae (House of St. Martha) in the Vatican, where it became part of the Vatican Collection. This moment was not only a milestone in my career but also a deeply emotional and personal experience.

“La Piedad” was a work I created with a special dedication in my heart. In a moment of reflection, and after the loss of my mother, I asked myself: “Where should this painting be for my mother to feel proud?” The destiny of the work was no coincidence; its place in the Vatican became a symbol of my admiration and gratitude towards her. The act of presenting this piece to His Holiness represented not only an artistic achievement but also a personal tribute to the one who always supported me along my journey. To me, this act was a way to honor her memory and legacy, feeling that this moment of transcendence gave her the recognition she always dreamed of for me.
