ART AND FOOTBALL AFTERNOON
In 2024, Alberto Rodríguez Serrano presented a remarkable series of luminous works at the AFE (Spanish Footballers Association) Awards ceremony, held at the iconic Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid. This artistic intervention added a unique visual dimension to the event, with pieces that combine the innovation and dynamism of light with contemporary art. The luminescence of the works stood out in such a traditional setting, creating a sensory and immersive experience that connected with the energy and emotion of the event.
The collaboration with AFE allowed Serrano’s art not only to illuminate the night but also to integrate into the celebration of excellence and effort, key characteristics of the world of football. This presentation represented the perfect fusion between sport and art, reflecting the passion, dedication, and brilliance that both share.
The event was attended by prominent representatives and authorities from the football world, such as the President of AFE, David Aganzo, José Antonio Camacho, Iker Casillas, Javier Clemente, Vicente del Bosque, among others. Awards were presented to players and teams such as Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Caroline Graham Hansen (FC Barcelona); and special distinctions were given to great athletes like Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid), Carolina Marín, Raúl García, the Spanish football team, and the Spanish Olympic team.
